A repeat worthy casual and fair priced Mexican spot in Sawtelle. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was and being that I live very close to this location I will certainly be back many times in the future. They don’t have a parking lot but street parking is pretty easy to find in this part of town depending on the time. It’s very small on the inside and really set up for to go. They do have a few tables inside, but they are very close together and you can tell it’s designed as a grab and go. They have a fairly large menu with all of the Mexican classics on it. The staff was also very polite and all of our items were ready quickly. One of the first things I wanted to try was their fish taco. Being from San Diego and growing up there and moving to LA in early 2020 I am especially qualified to judge fish tacos and felt this one was pretty good for Los Angeles. I still have yet to find a great fish taco up here in LA but would consider this one one of the good ones. We also ordered the Carne Asada plate and the Carne Asada fries. The Carne Asada on both was very good and seasoned perfectly and all the sides that came with hit the spot as well. They pretty much had all the same flavors that I grew up eating so I really finished my plate. Overall a solid grab and go Mexican spot in Sawtelle. I would recommend to anyone searching for a good and cheap Mexican meal.

Delicious breakfast burrito. Hashbrowns cooked to crispy perfection. Added bacon to the sausage burrito with no cheese. Came out to about $16.50. Worth it! Size was decent and filling. Mild salsa was tasty and not too spicy for my white boy sensibilities. Chips were tasty and had a nice chewiness to them. Definitely recommend. Parking was easy, not crowded on a Monday at 1230pm

The whole meal was under $20 per person with complimentary chips and salsa! Cashier was so lovely! Restaurant was clean and quiet with tv playing. Definitely go here!

Good Mexican food with authentic flavor and well-sized portions for a full meal. Prices are reasonable compared to other restaurants. You order at the counter, and they bring the food to your table. I had a torta al pastor, and it was very good. The place is small but comfortable. I recommend it for a casual, satisfying meal.

Amazing food, came out quickly, and a good spot in town. As a vegetarian, their ‘Veggie’ burrito only has rice, beans, and lettuce. I asked for onion & bell pepper, and it was a bit extra $$. A little odd, but it worked. The tostada bowl salad was tasty, the burrito was delicious, and the hard shell potato taco was a new favorite!

Nina's Mexican Food offers a decent California burrito, but the asada could use some improvement. While the tortilla was a highlight, with a little adjustment to the asada this burrito could be a real winner. As it seems like a single location - I tend not to be so critical. Service: Introduction/Welcome: NA Offerings/Menu: 7/10 Etiquette/Professionalism: N/A Extra Mile: N/A Attentiveness/Efficiency: N/A Payment/Close: 7/10 Ambiance: Background Music: N/A Guest Noise: 7/10 Lighting: 6/10 Location/View: 6/10 Overall Atmosphere: 7/10 Design/Decor: 8/10 Food: California Burrito: 7/10 Description: Good tortilla, average asada. For me the standard California burrito fillings: fries, cheese, guacamole, pico de gallo, sour cream The asada lacked the flavorful punch that elevates a good California burrito to a great one. Overall, Nina's provides a satisfactory California burrito that's likely a good option for a quick and affordable meal. If you're hungry and in the area - this place will work!

First meal in LA - great experience. Authentic Mexican food. Delicious. Affordable. Edgar was a lovely man - took care of a homeless man.

Decent Mexican food for the West Side. Burritos were okay sized, but you can definitely find bigger and better if you go to East LA or south. The chile relleno burrito was pretty good, but I typically enjoy my burritos with a bit more structural integrity. The vegetarian burrito was very good and highly recommended.
